FAQs & Postage

How to place an order/enquiry

Here at Brides Dreams we like to make it simple to order your wedding flowers. If you click on the link contact us and fill in as much information about your wedding eg date, colours codes and quantity you require.

We shall then contact you normally with in the same day, either by email or by phone (please give a landline number if you can, as I normally like to chat to you for a while and gather as much information as I can regarding your wedding flowers) I will then send you a free no obligation quotation, which will include all postage and packaging along with an expected delivery date.

Once you are happy with the price and your order has been confirmed we shall keep you up dated at all times with the process of your order and email you on the day that we have them ready to post out to you, to make sure that you or a member of your family will be in to receive them.

How do I pay?

Most of our items are made to order so we do not have a shopping cart on our web site, this way we can keep control of our orders, we wouldn’t like you to go and order and pay for a bouquet from us and then find that we are unable to complete your order in time for your wedding date.

Once your order has been confirmed and you are happy with everything. Payment can be made by online bank transfer (this is my preferred method as its free to both parties) Postal orders or by Paypal. At the moment we are unable to take credit or debit card payments over the phone.

Postage charges

Making sure your delivery gets to you is important, so we use the Royal Mail first class service, or for larger value items we use Next day special delivery guaranteed to reach you before 1pm,and excellent courier service. A signature is required on all parcels. If you were not at home when the postman/courier tried to deliver, they will always leave a calling card for you to rearrange delivery, or you can call at your local sorting office to collect in person for items that have been sent by the Royal Mail. We deliver to any where within the UK and can be sent to your home, work place or your parents address which ever is best for you.

Are your flowers real?

No they just look real, because we use good quality artificial flowers through out our work. In most cases you would be tempted to smell them as they look so real. Faux or artificial flowers and foliage are commonly referred to as “Silk” please note because artificial flowers and foliage are not always made of silk. However we do try to purchase realistic and good quality flowers from our suppliers and make our designs from a number of different types of materials, therefore while the flowers we use are traditionally called “silk” flowers they may not actually be made from silk.

Who should I buy buttonholes for???

Traditionally the groom, best man, father of the bride, father of the groom, ushers and page boys all need buttonholes. Mothers are usually provided with a corsage to co-ordinate with their outfit. It’s a nice thought to provide a buttonhole for anyone playing an important role at the wedding, such as singing or reading. Grandparents always seem to appreciate a buttonhole as many of them come from a generation where all the guests would be provided with one. Buttonholes are not required for anyone wearing a military uniform. It also depends on your budget and what you would like.

Flower samples

The best way to check your shade and the quality of my work is to purchase a guest buttonhole. These can be purchased on the buttonhole, corsage section under Samples.

How far in advance do I need to order my flowers?

It is best to place your order about 3 months in advance. This way you will be guaranteed the design and flowers that are on my web site at the time of ordering, normally a small deposit is required. You don’t have to pay for all your flowers in one go, I can arrange for a short payment plan. Please do not be afraid to ask as I know how expensive getting married can be.

How do I look after my flowers?

The beauty of our flowers being artificial they can be ordered well in advance. The best way to store your flowers once they have been received, cover them well with acid free tissue paper and away from sunlight and strong smells. This way they will look a new as the day you bought them from us.

Do you issue brochures?

Gosh no, we would be forever at the printers. We like to change our designs, and like keeping up with the modern styles and colours. And from time to time we have special offers on ready made packages that are available to buy now.

Do you have a shop we can visit?

We are sorry but we do not have a shop. If you live in the Bury, Lancashire area you are more than welcome to visit us and look at the designs that we are working on at that time, this can be done between the hours of Monday through to Friday 9am-6pm. Sorry closed weekends. However we do delivery any where with in the UK.
